Blood Red Moon Returns To the Sea

Moon turned blood red

Undertaker gathered dead

stacked flesh

cordwood piles

lifeless bodies

stretched miles

Pale horse rider

ascends

***

shooting stars

black sky

loved ones said

goodbyes

abomination of desolation

touched every nation

lost souls

in chains did descend

***

princes generals

did decree

rider approached

with a key

priests made

sacred offerings

the rich hid

in fortresses

horror impossible

to comprehend

***

clouds parted

black sunshine

plague spared

no bloodline

people crying

simply prayed

ransom offering

was repaid

Many died alone

without a friend

***

wise ones

spoke of prophecy

their words

carried authority

false teachers

spoke only lies

against blackened

falling skies

Floating down

that muddy riverbend

***

door to freedom

was narrow

from above

fell a sparrow

life for many

soon did cease

wars raged

without peace

All kingdoms rise

All kingdoms fall

***

few in these times

are moral

We continue to

fight and quarrel

false gods

fall from on high

most live in fear

hiding inside

Some actions in life

we can't defend

***

ones who

followed

the sacred laws

they were saved

despite their flaws

they had lived life

based on love

in a rainbow

the few saw a dove

they alone

from this hell

did transcend

***

I stood back alone

Looking up at the

Blood Red Moon

Listening to the ocean

Waters rising

Lapping my feet

Waters rising

***

I saw AMPHITRITE

She stole my heart

The Goddess Brizo

Sent prophetic dreams

The dolphin God Delphin

Gave me a ride

To the eye of the hurricane

I called on the Goddess Leucothea

Who rescues lost sailors

She ignored me

I called on the Goddess Dynamene

She has great power over the ocean

She smiled and disappeared

I called on the Goddess Galene

"Please may the waters be calm?"

A huge wave sent me under

I called on the Goddess Psamathe

"Please take me to your golden beaches."

I descended to the bottom of the ocean

Trapped in sludge

Mermaids watched over me powerless

Singing ocean funeral hymns

As salt water filled my lungs

The sea God POSEIDON

The King of the sea

My last hope

He said

"Tonight you will sleep with the fishes!"

***

At first I felt despair

I then realized

all water

Flows to the sea

Surrendered

It ok going under

Flowing

Returning home

Smiling

I cried one tear

Goddesses of the sea

Voices haunting and beautiful

Led me to the next world

enchanted songs

I love the ocean depths

Up through the water

The Blood Red Moon smiled

Setting in the sea

Bathing me in silence

Pure

Silence

Set me free

In my lifes

Vast

Sea
