Travelers in Time
Travelers in Time

So your sinking in the valley of darkness, my darling, I know your pain
My terrible evenings filled by nights candlelight suffering
My flowers rot of punishment, blinking as I sleep restlessly without dreams
My rudder drifts aimlessly on river rapids flowing violent, dark seas
We murmur confess growing old each moment passing time
Ocean waves crash endlessly, flooding our hollow bodies
Chopping tides of winter singing savage songs of hell, we are lost in the night
Sleepless together, sucked in quicksand of the past, blind to the moment
So heartsick with crying wings, lost bird abandoned, scared I fall
A muzzled insect, I buzz through dark valleys dying garden flowers
Moon disturbs shivering life's river rapids, breaking me in dark oceans
No longer led by light, this blazing death path leads to endless nothingness
Impermanent night jewels nature's guardians converse in forgotten languages
Travelers of the wind, we listen rocked gently on pillows of moss and ferns
Looking up no expectations, we become birds who fly unafraid soaring in sunlit blue skies
Innocent free children, we discover stars for the first time
Beneath mirrors, warm ocean tides, bathed in healing blessings
No drowning sorrow alive blown on life's windy mystic waves we swim
Emerging from sleep cocoons, we find peace in impermanent oceans, drifting tides
Night fades, light dawns, ancient trees renew, awakening in the next moments dream

I had a dream of Rimbaud, so I awoke as colored vowels and letters rained down upon me. The words above came together to David Penn Trinley Arndt, on May 20th, 2020, who felt Rimbaud so strongly as if he was in my room. I then fell, smiling back asleep into dreams of foreign lands and worlds unspoiled, pure like Eden, before the fall.
