Dark Waters

Take me down 
To my dark waters
Flowing through my past
See the faces 
Faces of those hurt

Want to run want to hide
Deny that it was me
Whose words
Caused another's pain

There's no excuse escape
pain must be faced
Oh dark waters you're not me
You've obscured my mind

Not afraid to see truth
Come to face my past
On my knees I cry out 
It those I caused pain

I don't expect forgiveness
I will let you flow on by
What I offer to the world
I Don't give up I always try

I come to you dark waters
To those hurt I make a vow 
Turn sorrow I caused others
Into love for all living now

use the hurt, tears and pain
Keep me honest and aware
I return to you dark waters
With this confession prayer

Until there comes a time
When dark turns to light
actions purified
In dawn if the darkest night

Dark waters I know 
you’re not me 
Your
obscurations clouding 
my mind
through you 
sun did shine
Showing the path 
To be 
Loving 
Kind

Missing Self *** Yikes, my family has become concerned by my inability to find any solid fixed self, what to do? Best to keep quiet about my suspicion of their lack of inherent self. And who or what has been doing this searching and looking anyhow, like a gerbil spinning on a wheel? Those Buddhists,  I tell you, they appear so peaceful  (sometimes ) but are secretly a radical group of self deniers, how wonderfully subversive.  Maybe I have been a Buddhist all along and just realized it. But then I look for the Buddhist and Bam!  Same problem, there's nothing there. I must confess enjoying my nonexistent self today, uh oh, that could mean trouble. Now that I have realized my life is just a dream am wondering what comes next, or if there is a "next." Maybe I will keep looking a little more to be sure no self is to be found.
