Heart Stays Open

I choose to trust 

Keep my heart open

Each time I do

I find myself broken 


I meet someone new

I see in their face 

Someone I think I know

With whom I relate


I've trusted many

My Heart blown up 

I keep on trusting

Haven't had enough


I have no choice

Keeping open my heart

If I close it once 

I might remain in the dark


How is it in life? 

We seem designed to love. 

Yet, when we come together. 

We hurt each other and run 


High above Earth

Look down and question 

I look in another's eyes

See an empty reflection? 


I'll keep trusting

Without fear

see no other way 

Even when my 

heart is crushed

I wake up

Do my best

To love 

Another 

Day

Missing Self *** Yikes, my family has become concerned by my inability to find any solid fixed self, what to do? Best to keep quiet about my suspicion of their lack of inherent self. And who or what has been doing this searching and looking anyhow, like a gerbil spinning on a wheel?
