Let me tell you a story


Bout a species gone crazy


Threatening life on earth


Our children 


Future babies 



Let me tell you a story


The Titanic has set sail


Get to your life boats 


This ship will soon fail 



Let me tell you a story


science and technology 


Is mute and can't see


of what matters in life 


Our Culture is blind 


It sinks in the sea



At root in life 


What matters is love


We must come together


Or our future will flow 


With rivers of blood



Blood of all beings 


Without exception 


On this road of 


Horror, death and 


Destruction


We are lost 


Without direction



Let me tell you a story


Our species must face


Our sickness within 


Or it will be 


The last thing 


We taste



We tasted life


Our future 


Is now past


The happiness 


And good times


In this world 


Did not


Last 



Embers and ashes


The Phoenix can rise


If fearlessly 


Leaving the darkness


We can open our eyes 



I've told my story 


To you my friends


May the world listen 


Before all species


Come to an end

Missing Self *** Yikes, my family has become concerned by my inability to find any solid fixed self, what to do? Best to keep quiet about my suspicion of their lack of inherent self. And who or what has been doing this searching and looking anyhow, like a gerbil spinning on a wheel? Those Buddhists,  I tell you, they appear so peaceful  (sometimes ) but are secretly a radical group of self deniers, how wonderfully subversive.  Maybe I have been a Buddhist all along and just realized it. But then I look for the Buddhist and Bam!  Same problem, there's nothing there. I must confess enjoying my nonexistent self today, uh oh, that could mean trouble. Now that I have realized my life is just a dream am wondering what comes next, or if there is a "next." Maybe I will keep looking a little more to be sure no self is to be found.
