lost in the stars

drifting across 

water woods

awakening 

celestial vapor

reflections 

lost in wilderness 

laughing across 

lakes 

rosy water

In pieces of

forgotten songs

I see a vision 

crapulous civilization

Celestial creatures 

drink in alleys 

lunatics find 

wisdom in wine 

suffering 

children Lonely 

soft sands of the past 

fall in love 

dangerous lawns 

well to do houses 

television sets 

machines of the world 

look in their heads 

for reason

Or the face 

of a long-dead relative

Forgetting the 

silence of the sea

Love explosives 

silly rockets

millions of young 

Americans 

drifting

wandering 

college vapor

blow up campuses 

Non-identity 

grooming schools 

Blow up televisions 

Blow up civilization 

Free the dream 

blow heads 

reason

off with 

love

Finding 

nirvana 

in outer inner

channel fluid 

belly waters

I hear Zen Lunatics 

Passover in the sky

The Dharma Bums 

go prowling 

practicing kindness 

Loving all creatures 

My meditations

dark mysterious 

secret origins of love

forgetting myself 

sea ecstasy of the stars 

Locating silence 

golden eternity clouds

Mind awakening

nirvana found 

in being 

nothing
