Another day in the life on Sunday morning, hallelujah!
🕊️
Okay David, what are your plans to shake up life today?
Well my plans are the following:
So today, I'm going to go to church, and it's the church where the former Republican governor, of Vermont goes to church, and after church we'll talk politics together, and then I'll go to pigeon's gun shop, David sells guns has been selling for 60 years, he would love to eat liberals in those crazy Scandinavians for supper, and he also has cancer, so I'll go check in on him, and since he loves guns, and he's near death, still selling them after 60 years, I'll pay him some respect, ask him what kind of gun he thinks I should get, before he told me a glock, We'll see what he says this time,.... I've never owned a gun in my life, it's always seems more dangerous tone one than not on one
I do things like this, because otherwise I get to settled, I start to care about what others think about me, the way they think I should be, and if I do that, I just suffer
So I'm going to go to church today, going to fear the Lord, but when I get there it's all the good news, the New testament, oh on my way home I'm going to stop at Monroe's books
Monroe's books, is one of the best bookstores I've ever seen in the world, and I've seen good good bookstores,
Monroe books has so many endless books from estate sales and who knows where that they must be piled up a mile high in various storage locations in Vermont, it's impossible for them to organize or catalog their books, so they're on these very high bookshelves with ladders, and anytime you go looking for anything, you could find anything under the sun, so I think I'll go to Monroe's before I go to the gun shop
Then I think I'm going to go to Burlington, and Maybe I'm going to go play guitar on Church Street, for the second time of my life...
Then I'm going to get some cat food, because I got to keep Leo happy my cat
And then I'm going to work on my book which is called The Poetics of Power
An academia and beyond there is this critique of everything under the sun, by critical theory,
But what is it that critiques critical theory?
Well obviously, something cannot critique itself, so how do you critique critical theory?
You do so through a poetic interrogation, through a poetic interrogation of critical theory, it's limitations become obviously clear,
So the only way to critique modernism, from Kant to whatever postmodernism maybe, choose your definition, the only way to do this is through poetic interrogation, and one of the critical means for this attempt, cannot be reason, or solely reason, only poetry reveals the one-dimensional flat text world of critical theory, which in and of itself, is inherently blind, has an huge blind spot, where within modernity, we've mowed down the world and all things living, think it critical theory is going to get us somewhere, well where's it gotten us? So my book is an attempt to get at or reveal or watch unfold what I'm speaking of here, which has Wittgenstein said, can't be spoken, so that's why poetry is the only means to go down that road
These are a few things on my plate for today, now I'm going to go eat of life and be merry....
