Glorious sickness cutting me down Bodhgaya 2018

Have not slept in over 30 hours.

Just took another motorcycle ride to the "doctor".

What to say about the Indian medical system in Bihar?

Well the clinic is so filthy that if you are not sick going in, you will be sick when you leave.

Honestly I would not bring my pet there and if I had the choice I would choose the veterinarian back home to treat me before choosing the clinic here.

One question I have is when was the last time the doctor bathed?

So what is the verdict, good question, my confidence in the doctor hovers around 1%, but maybe I am being unfair, we will see.

My back looks like I have some flesh eating disease, I quite honestly can't even look at it in the mirror, it just freaks me out.

So the doctor after going through basically no diagnostic procedure other than putting what looked like a broken thermometer under my armpit gives me a bunch of pills wrapped in newspaper.

He says I must have some infection or allergic reaction to something.

So he gives me one pill to take daily that he says works for any allergy, well I know that is quite impossible.

Then he gives me a round of antibiotics, we will see maybe that will do something, that is my best bet.

Then he gives me something for pain, not sure what that is.

Finally some creame to put on the flesh eating disease on my back.

As for the abdominal pain, he really has no response.

So basically right now all I want is sleep, hopefully that will come as delirium is setting in.

No position is comfortable, so I just try to be present with the pain as I watch it move around my body.

I would post a picture of my back but it would send you wretching to the bathroom.

It is really something to behold, unlike anything I have seen before, this ugly pulsating mass of purple and red that would give you chills, so I will spare you.

This is the flip side to India in one of it's poorest states, there basically is no real health care as we know it in the West.

It has been a long time since I was such a physical mess in India, but this is one for the record books.

But it really just comes with the territory.

I am surprised I made it this far without some mishap.

So it is nearly 10 am here and I just pray that sleep will come.

It is humbling to se your body collapse and break down but from a spiritual perspective, Bodhgaya is an auspicious place to have it happen, we will see what comes and will keep everyone updated, thanks for your prayers and support, they make a difference.
