Never forgotten you 

Working three jobs

Being beat down

Doing your best

No Meal to eat

No Bed to sleep

No savings to keep

Debt so deep

No relief

Being put down

Academic elites

Arrogant Blues

Here's what's true

Who cares what others think

Who cares what they say

I'm thinking good about you

I'm always standing with you

I will always be with the American people

The working people of this country

The poor huddled masses

Those with nothing

For me you hold wisdom

You know the skinny

Living on the street

Fighting for a meal to eat

For bed to sleep

You are my teachers

When I want to know 

What's going down

I go downtown

You and me bro

We hang

I don't care what you're dealing 

I don't care what you're stealing

I do care what you're feeling

For me it matters what you're thinking

You and I we smile and we wink

Together we all walk the mile

Because we know how quickly 

Life can go down 

In a breath or a blink

We could be cut down 

With a knife in the back 

Down some back alley

Misty mossy bayou

Or through

Elitist indoctrination

Babbling nonsense

Out of touch

So indoctrinated

Out of touch

Many of us

Including me

Should probably be living at the zoo

The truth is my friends

We're citizens of the world too

We need to respect all

We're all equal

Alone we fall

Facing life and death

Sickness old age

But it's true

We got to take care

Of our home 

Create more opportunities 

But dear people

Ignore those academic elites

Not all but many

Eat the fruit of corrupted meat

Your kids can't afford the schools

Not everyone

But some who go

Get indoctrinated

Can't think for themselves

And are the real fools

I don't mean any disrespect

I'm as foolish as all the rest

Far more foolish than you

For better or worse

I found myself an academic too

But the elitism 

I sea right through  

But my words here are true

Or too enough

To tell you I care

I won't lie to you

But I just wanted to say

That you're good

I got your back

I'm not going away

I'm going to see you through

If we work together

Overcome the division

Keeping us apart

There's not a damn thing

Dear American people

That we'll Not be able To do

Mark these words in stone
