Wasn't Out Of Lack Of Love In My Heart

Wasn't Out Of Lack Of Love In My Heart

***

Didn't want to go away
It was a dark dark day
When I left you
There was no other way

Sometimes I feel trapped
I run up against another brick wall
I feel like
I'm so small

It wasn't out of lack of love in my heart.
No, sometimes no matter how much you love someone
No matter what you do
It doesn't make a difference or it make things worse than they were at the start

I took on the world
And all that I saw
I lived my life as experience
An experience for all
Took life as straight drink
Followed my own path
No need to think

I hurled myself into an abyss
But I felt I had no choice.
If I didn't, I'd give up my life
I had too much living to do
No way. I was going to stay in strife

I got lost so many times
I never thought I was gonna come back
Well I've been to Hell
I've lost my mind
But I tell you all
It's possible to survive

It wasn't out of lack of love in my heart.
No, sometimes no matter how much you love someone
No matter what you do
It doesn't make a difference or it make things worse than they were at the start

I look up to everybody
And feel so much love
Whole wide world spinning around
We can let go of our fears
We can put away those Lost Years

See the love shining down
Like shooting stars to my heart
Everybody's blazing fire
We're all in heaven
Floating upon a cloud

We can do so much more
Then we ever realized
When we call upon the love
That through the darkness shines

It's no use to hold onto those fears
It's a new beginning

We beat ourselves up far too long
Those days are over
It's time to move on

Because it's A new path we trod
It's a new beginning

It's a new path we charge
It's a new beginning

Now, wherever I roam
I'm ready to live
Ready to love
Wherever I roam
In my heart I call home
In my love I am home

It wasn't out of lack of love in my heart.
No, sometimes no matter how much you love someone
No matter what you do sometimes
It doesn't make a difference or it can make things worse than they were at the start
