Alone Beneath A Starless Sky
Alone beneath
A starless sky
I no longer ask
the question why
I accept this fate
To be alone
My emptiness
is my home
I don't feel sad or sorry
I have lived many lives
and felt one
From our truth
we cannot run
Now shadows come
A cloudy sky
There is no
reason to cry
All that comes
Soon must pass
Think of those
beneath the grass
In this life
Before the end
The greatest wealth
is one true friend
Self-acceptance
Is a treasure
Not affected
by the weather
To look within
Be honest and true
Is the best
we can do
What lies
beyond life
An unhelpful question
A passing reflection
Only living love
toward each other
can guide our way
in stormy weather
Only kind love
Tears down time
bringing peace
to our weary mind
